October 18.2005. Avets Pro 30 Wide has just arrived. Highly
anticipated, the design is based on the acclaimed EX 4/0 series of
reels, further refining the pedigree. Cabbage Key, being one of
Avets first and original dealers, is proud to offer this
oustanding reel
The brothers at Avet have engineered a number of key
changes to the original design creating a masterpiece of a reel in
the popular 30W Tournament Class. Many of the changes are based on
the design of the extremely successful EX 50 series
The clicker knob has been moved to the right gearcase side of the
reel, out of the way, under the handle, yet handy and easy to
operate. The drag lever moves in a 165 degree arc with spring loaded
detents at the engagement and strike positions. The gearcase size is
notably larger to accomodate the larger, massive dual carbon
fiber drag washers and titanium brake plate, while still holding
overall width to the same size. Although the spool diameter is
slighly larger, the spindle diameter is also slightly larger
resulting in the same generous line capacity
The most notable difference is the amount of drag, this reel
pulls an astonishing 45 pounds at strike, 48 pounds max on a 30
lb class reel!!
The weight is only 3 lbs, 3 ounces, lighter than
competing brands, this reel is markedly stronger as a result
of superior engineering and use of space age materials.
The standard width version Avet Pro 30 will be coming soon
as well as the Avet T-RX 30
Preliminary testing at Puerto Vallerto was a complete success,
surprising even the owners of Avet, as to the power of this reel.
The Avet drag, noted for its reliability and smooth operation,
became even smoother with a few fish under its belt. Once

brand.
The Avet PRO 30W has set the bar higher and will become the
standard in its class.
